Writer. Speaker. Therapist.

  • Chit chat feels awkward.
  • I love anything with goat cheese.
  • Wind and water are my happy place.

Raised in Alaska, I have a deep love for all things wild, a respect for courageous adventure, and a connection with authentic people.  Throughout my life, these three qualities have led me to amazing experiences and unforgettable souls.

Without hesitation my life’s common theme has been a deep curiosity in God’s relationship with humanity and the way we engage and steward our world.  This is what inspires and guides me.

Living in southwest Idaho with my handsome husband of 26 years, we have a full world with our three lively sons, one brave daughter-in-law, one curious grandson, and two scraggly dogs.

Having studied at Washington University in St Louis and The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, I am a licensed trauma-focused psychotherapist in private practice in Washington and Idaho. I founded The Center for Faith and Psychology, providing education, resources, and trainings for churches and leaders in the areas of trauma, healing, and mental health.

In my writing, podcasting, and speaking, I explore the intersection of theology, psychology, and spiritual formation to discover and honor the sacred places of our stories and souls. My writings have appeared in a variety of publications, including Christianity Today, Relevant, and Proverbs 31.
